A roadway is closed following a single-vehicle crash on Long Island that seriously injured two people.

The crash took place near the border of Herricks and New Hyde Park around 9:20 a.m., Friday, March 5, at 3315 Hillside Ave., after a vehicle hit a utility pole, said Nassau County Police.

Two people were seriously injured in the crash, police said.

The roadway remains closed in the area of Temple Emanuel for an investigation and for replacement of the pole, police added.
